Casebook Career Guidance for Migrants Conference
On the 12th June 2017, the Casebook career guidance for migrants conference was held at the Bluecoat in Liverpool.
During a morning session different organisations, professionals supporting migrants, job centres, career counsellors, universities, students and migrants exchanged on the different ways to improve services supporting migrants into employment.
After an introduction by Nicola Daley, CEO at Merseyside Expanding Horizons, we had the pleasure of welcoming Doctor Zana Vathi, reader in social Sciences at Edge Hill University who explained the importance of helping migrants into employment for the hosting society.
Then for over an hour, different workshops were carried out in order to share Casebook methodologies and results, create innovative networks and also develop relationships for future work.
These working groups also provided the perfect opportunity to share experiences and develop relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Over an unformal lunch participants were able to chat and share ideas to strenghten their professional network and their skills. After the conference, all participants were presented with a certificate of attendance.
